Dr Porwal believes in treating Hemorrhoids based on grading and severity, moving seamlessly from conservative care to advanced surgical precision as the disease progresses.This led to conception of his model of gradewise approach for treating Piles. Beginning with plant-based medicines and dietary fixes for grade I, the treatment changes to Laser Hemorrhoidopexy for late stage II and stage III, and ends with Stapler Surgery (MIPH) for advanced grade IV.
The approach is supported by research and it avoids subjective differences in treatments recommended by doctors. Of course, the Proctologist handling the respective case has the final say, but the model serves as a strong guideline in cases that feel ambiguous.
