At Healing Hands Clinic, an anal fistula is diagnosed through a clinical examination and proctoscopy. Complex cases may require an MRI Fistulogram.
Healing Hands Clinic, being a specialist in Proctology ( a department of surgery that deals with the rectum and gluteal region), have altogether dealt with a large number of Fistula patients. In our understanding of dealing with fistula patients over the prior years, we have tried to understand the importance of the disease and the reason for recurrences. Behind in-depth research and applying all understanding and skills, we have devised a method which is recognised as DLPL - Distal Laser Proximal Ligation to treat complex fistula.
In this procedure, an abscess hole along with the inner opening is only excised. This is regarded as the closure of the distal area. The proximal part of the fistula area is then closed with the Leonardo Laser. With the radially emitting fiber of the laser, power is applied to the fistula area in a circumferential behavior. This ensures the entire closure of the area
The Centre has trained more than 100+ Fistula experts across the world. It is recognised as a centre of superiority for training specialists from Europe, the Middle East, Asia.

We are recognized as the most innovative proctology hospital, pioneering our own treatment methods for intricate Anorectal conditions. Our primary focus is on curing with care.
Fistulas don’t heal with medications, creams, or home remedies. At Healing Hands Clinic Latur, advanced sphincter-preserving procedures such as DLPL (Distal Laser Proximal Ligation), FiLaC (Fistula-tract Laser Closure), LIFT, and VAAFT are performed. These techniques are minimally invasive, help preserve muscle function, and ensure faster recovery compared to traditional open surgery.
The clinic offers several cutting-edge laser-based treatments, including DLPL, FiLaC, and VAAFT—which eliminate the fistula tract while protecting sphincter muscles, with minimal pain and almost no scarring.
These laser procedures target the fistula tract directly with minimal damage to surrounding tissues. They deliver extremely low recurrence rates—DLPL, for instance, offers as low as ~0.1% recurrence, significantly better than traditional surgical methods.
While fistulas can recur if not treated appropriately, DLPL, FiLaC, and VAAFT are specifically designed to minimize recurrence. With appropriate follow-up and care, patients often enjoy long-lasting results.
Most patients recover very quickly and may resume routine activities within 1–2 days following surgery, thanks to these minimally invasive, sphincter-saving techniques
At Healing Hands Clinic, Latur, the cost of fistula treatment may vary depending on the type, complexity, and severity of the fistula, as well as the treatment approach advised after clinical evaluation:
