About This Publication
This first published clinical study of Anoac topical cream evaluated its therapeutic effectiveness in patients presenting with perianal symptoms — including pain, itching, discharge, and bleeding — arising from anal fissures and hemorrhoids.
Anoac cream was applied as directed over a defined treatment period, with assessments at baseline, mid-treatment, and study end. Primary endpoints included visual analogue scale (VAS) pain scores, patient-reported symptom severity, and clinician assessment of perianal mucosal condition.
The study demonstrated statistically significant reductions in all measured perianal symptoms including pain intensity, itching severity, bleeding episodes, and amount of perianal discharge. Patient-reported quality of life scores improved substantially with no significant adverse events recorded.
These findings positioned Anoac cream as an effective conservative first-line treatment for Grade 1–2 hemorrhoids and acute anal fissures, establishing the clinical foundation for subsequent comparative and molecular studies.
