Education
Dr. Sujay B R commenced his medical career nearly two decades ago. Being a meritorious student he graduated from the prestigious Mysore Medical College in 2005 (MBBS) and obtained master’s degree in general surgery in 2010 from KIMS Hubli.
Additional training and qualification
Following this, with passion for minimal access surgery he underwent comprehensive hands-on laparoscopic training from Indian Institute of Laparoscopic Surgery in Coimbatore in 2010.
Dr Sujay BR with an aim to make surgical procedures less painful developed interest in Laser Proctology. He was one of the initial few surgeons to start Laser Proctology in Bangalore.
Dr Sujay BR has presented many research papers in his field in state and national conferences and he also has many research publications in national and international journals. Dr Sujay BR holds fellowships from renowned organisations such as the International College of Surgeons, the Indian Association of Gastrointestinal EndoSurgeons, and the Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India. He is also a fellow of advanced Laparoscopic Surgery in Colorectal Surgery, Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery.
Dr. Sujay B R believes in holistic approach in treating patients. He has successfully treated more than ten thousand patients and operated on more than five thousand patients. He is quite popular among his colleagues and patient population for his meticulous work, clinical diagnosis, patient-centred approach and is widely recognized for providing compassionate care.
