Dr. Simranjit completed her MBBS from Padmashree Dr. D. Y. Patil University, Navi Mumbai, followed by her Postgraduate degree in General Surgery from BVDU. She further pursued specialized training in minimal access surgery at the World Laparoscopy Hospital, Gurugram, completing her Fellowship and Diploma in Minimal Access Surgery (FMAS & DMAS). She secured merit in her diploma and was awarded the title “Top Gun” for her performance.
Her interest in breast surgery began during her postgraduate training, when she also initiated research in the field. This developed into a keen focus on breast cancer screening, early detection and breast surgery. She is associated with the Guru Nanak Medical Foundation, where she participates in screening and awareness programs that encourage women to seek timely evaluation and care.
Dr. Simranjit also has a special interest in diabetic foot management. She completed her Fellowship in Diabetic Foot Management (FDFM) from the Indian Podiatry Association (IPA) under the guidance of renowned diabetic foot surgeon Dr. A. P. S. Suri. Her approach focuses on identifying early peripheral neuropathy, promoting appropriate foot-care practices and using minimally invasive treatment options where appropriate, with the aim of preventing complications and reducing the risk of amputations.
Her international experience further adds to her surgical expertise. From 2022 to 2025, she worked in Montreal, Canada, as a General and Laparoscopic Surgeon. In 2025, she completed specialized training in Trauma and Acute Care Surgery at Montreal Sacré-Cœur Hospital, Quebec, Canada, strengthening her ability to manage complex and acute surgical conditions.
